Trinity College is a small K – 12 parent involved school situated in Poatina, Tasmania. Its 40 plus students are drawn from Poatina, Perth, Longford, Evandale, and (at Senior Secondary level), other parts of Tasmania and Australia.
All of our staff are four year trained, and all of our teachers from 2008 were retained for 2009/2010. No teachers were Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.

Non attendance is followed up by phone on the day of non-attendance. Doctor’s certificates or written notes are required for two or more consecutive day’s absence.
None of our Year 12 students were involved in vocational or trade training, but all Year 12 students attained a TCE and have gone on to University or Vocational training in 2010.
Surveys were conducted among our parent body, students and staff. All parent respondents bar one were very satisfied or satisfied with the College’s performance on all questions asked. Similar patterns of satisfaction with the College’s performance were reported by staff and student respondents.
No analysis of NAPLAN results is provided to us owing to the small cohort of students tested at each level. |
